Why I Use Eye Cream.

My boy (aka Ferris Drooler) is hungry, and he'll eat just about anything!  Now that Aksel has teeth, he's pretty much unstoppable! 

But Aksel's propensity for all things FOOD, is not what I look to share just now.  I have other mother business to report -- wellness stats.

As all ye wise mothers before me warned, time is flying by and I really can't believe my bugga's already nine months old! 

In all honesty, after I endured nine long months of pregnancy and the mind-blurring weeks thereafter, I was 100% certain I'd enjoy this single child experience and commit to never doing it again, but my feelings are different now. Boy (and girl), do I want more!

Having a child has been the single most amazing experience of my life!  Not only is it incredible how much my darling boy teaches me on a daily base (because he does), but the process of life is so utterly profound!

The idea of mortality has definitely come to play, but more important, my child is a true stamp of time.  I observe the changes he's made over the course of these nine quick months, and I'm left speechless.  Might I add, that's something of an accomplishment!

In my meaningless days of singledom, I was flippant and nearly disrespectful.  Time didn't mean a thing!  I realize now how much can change in a short period, and that's why I use eye cream.

If my child can grow ten inches in under ten months, I'm positive fine lines can, too!

On a more serious note, every relationship in my life has changed for the better since Aksel's arrival.  For instance, I love my parents so much more!  I understand and appreciate their faults, their humanity, and most of all, their sacrifices.  It saddens me to think my child won't understand my love for him until he himself is a parent.

And my man, my soul mate, my baby's daddy... he's my best friend until time stops!  Having a child together has been our greatest joy!
