Like any two-year-old boy, my kid loves to be outside, in the dirt.  Or better yet, tasting mulch and hugging trees.

And all I can say, is I'm one lucky momma!  Happy Birthday, Aksel!

It pains me to say it, seeing as I'm a Halloween junkie, but I'm at a standstill for costume ideas.  I've got nothin'... 

I may just recycle the look above.  Not really, but I better come up with something quick.

The only thing I know for sure, is that the photo below leaves me um... wordless.  It's one of my favorite shots of our little old soul.

Each year 'round this time, Franky comes to stay.  And he's a pleasant guest, a graveyard smash in our household. 

And seeing as he's a song and dance doll, I call him Franky the Swooner Halloween Crooner after a favorite cartoon here.  

"Franky!  Franky!"  all the chicks clucked.

Anyhow, Franky's a hit!  Not to mention, Aksel loves to hum along...

Water Wednesday. v1

The heat and humidity, most commonly associated with historic Charleston, South Carolina, is officially here!  And, it's scorching!

In turn, the blaze leaves me sadly saying so long, bidding farewell to a few personal springtime favorites:  carefree afternoon strolls, midday meals al fresco, pleasant noontime park sessions, and joyful rides with windows down. 

But, it's on to new things.  Ones mainly centering 'round the WATER.

So, I'm now looking forward to balmy days spent beachside, sprinklers on spin, and late-day rainstorms by the dozen.   First however, a Folly flashback from Aksel's first ocean adventure. 

I can't wait to see how little man reacts this year!  I suspect things will be different.  Very, very different.
