The Inevitable Diaper Stench.

I used to be retentive about keeping my house clean. Every last detail had to be perfect. No dust. No streaks on glass. No dirt. Toilet paper folded exactly. Between you and me, it was exhausting, and for the work, not too terribly rewarding! I felt on edge always.

I suppose, looking back, it had something to do with my control issues (mentioned here), but days are sure different now...

Having a child has lessened my clean house anxiety. In fact, I've found comfort in disorder. To take it one step further, I feel like my beautiful house is finally a home. As cliché as that might sound.

But there's just one thing...

With the constant diaper turnover, and its inevitable stench, I struggle to keep my lovely home smelling fresh.

So, here are a few of my favorites:

Lemon Basil Home Fragrance Oil

The Body Shop

For years now, this has been a personal must-have. I love the clean notes this oil exudes. It's delicious, and trust me, I've tried 'em all! Obviously, you will need to buy an oil burner, if you don't already have one, but it's a purchase you won't be disappointed with.

Grapefruit

Nest Fragrances

I recently discovered Nest Fragrances, and I love their collection! In particular, I'm burning quite a lot of the grapefruit flavor, but I also adore orange blossom and wasabi pear. Not to mention, their holiday scent can't be topped. It's incredible! Well worth the money!

Peppermint Stick

In all honesty, I first received this candle as a gift, and I was reluctant to burn it. I mean, I don't care particularly much for the smell of peppermint myself. I find it (the smell of peppermint) to be obtrusive and harsh, but boy was I surprised! This candle is a GEM! Warm and invigorating, I burned it incessantly for months.
