K is for Kiss.

It's sad.  My child at only 12 months, 3 weeks is already swatting my mommy kisses away.  Woe is me!  Whatever shall I do?

A kiss is such a beautiful thing.  A mother's smooch, especially!

The point of this post...

K is for Kiss

I'm ashamed to admit, but I learn something altogether new each day.  Here's the sad part... usually from NickJr. or a kid's book.

For one, my Chinese and Spanish skills have improved exponentially!

That's beside the point though, what brings me to the "kiss" topic is a lovely book Aks received for his birthday -- Museum ABC

In the book, the letter K is literally for KISS, and it showcases the timeless painting below.  (Which I was touched by!)

Mary Cassatt, 1844 - 1926
Mother's Kiss, 1890 - 1891

I am that crazy mummy who can't get enough baby kisses.  I guess I'll enjoy 'em while I still can!  Here's hoping for a few more years...

Here are a few NEW sweet books I adore, as does Aksel!

  1. Nice post. Baby kisses are great, but wait until you get showered with the toddler kisses. They are the best! Ah, they grow up so quickly. Cherish every minute.
