As I do most everyday, I read fellow mommy blogs. One post in particular, has inspired my morning thoughts for the brighter, and the better. Read it here.
By the way, it started with the nail polish, and since I'm fresh off the CANDY topic, I'm still thinking in shades of Wonka hues. So, below are a few lipstick selections I currently wear, and adore.

I love, LOVE, love this color! To look at it, you might think it's obnoxious, or too bright, but it's BARDOT sexy! When wearing this shade, I traditionally use a gloss, too. My choice, for example, is Slicked Pink Lip Gelée, also by MAC.
Now, a brief lipstick backstory...
I have a place in my colored heart for this tube of lipstick. It reminds me of a "first" stick I received as a gift when I turned fifteen. It was South Beach Peach by Estee Lauder.
By now you know, I love bold colors. So, it will come as no surprise when I say that I like to take this particular shade up a notch. I use Funtabulous Dazzleglass on top. As the names imply, these colors are GIRLY and FUN! Wear when feeling feisty.
This color, to me, is screaming adjectives. To name a few: demure, coquettish, blushing, naive. It's perfect on a romantic spring day!
I wear this color when I'm sporting totally dark, smokey eyes. It's a creamy, subdued tint-of-pink that makes me feel HOTT! And, that's why we wear it, right? This color's a winner!
Regardless of my recommendations, do what works best for you. Wear what makes you feel beautiful, and confident! Rock it

ReplyDeleteLove this post! Definitely try Smashbox O-gloss, if you haven't already. It goes on clear and reacts with your skin chemistry to turn a custom shade of pink. It's not very vibrant, but when put over a fabulous pink or red it punches up the color and adds a brilliant sheen of gloss! It was recommended to me by a friend and now I swear by it.
