I have a thing for old cars. I love 'em! And it goes back to those summer nights so long ago, when...
We'd drive for what seemed like days, down dark, country roads (in my mother's 1978 Triumph Spitfire).
And, boy o' boy would we sing... my mom, sister, and me. Old hits by Patsy Cline, and Kitty Wells.
We'd also nibble on treats, and drink coke from bottles. All while talking, telling stories.
Usually ones from my mother's youth in Washington state.
Needless to say, those nights were idyllic. And for that reason, I'll always love a classic car!
I'm thankful for these memories, Mom!
PS - My mother is undergoing x-rays and blood tests today after an unfavorable doctor's appointment. Fingers crossed all goes well!
Awww that sounds like fun! Sending positive thoughts to your mom and that everything turns out fine.
