With My Little Prince...

I have long envisioned the day when I would sit, with my own child, and watch classic films...

That day has finally come!

Yippee!

My appreciation for all things old, films in particular, started very young, and I credit my mother for teaching me to LOVE the classics!  It was a tradition for the two of us to cozy up on the couch for the weekly showing of AMC's Friday Fright Night Feature, hosted by Bob Dorian.  The following thrillers scared my hair straight:  The Bad Seed, Rebecca, Invasion of the Body Snatchers, Cat People / The Curse of the Cat People, and my favorite, The Uninvited (1944).

To make a long story short, little man and I snuggled this morning, and watched Shirley Temple in The Little Princess on Turner Classic Movies.  I loved that film when I was a child!  I realize it's on the girly side, but there are so many others I can't wait to share with my little prince...

In no particular order, they are as follows:

The Wizard of Oz

 The Sound of Music

Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (Decades Collection with CD)

Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory (Widescreen Special Edition)

Mary Poppins (40th Anniversary Edition)

101 Dalmatians (Two-Disc Platinum Edition)

Lady and the Tramp (50th Anniversary Edition)

Peanuts: 1960's Collection (A Charlie Brown Christmas / Charlie Brown's All-Stars / It's the Great Pumpkin / You're in Love / He's Your Dog / It Was a Short Summer)

Two French favorites:

Red Balloon

The Little Prince

Oh, the FILM FUN we'll have mon petit prince, Aksel!
